The EU Visa takes around one month to be issued. However the Greek authorities, issue to the investor a one year Residency Permit from the time his lawyer submits all the necessary documents.

Your first steps after choosing the apartment you want to buy, is to assign a Greek lawyer. He will issue for you a Greek Tax number (AFM) that is necessary in order to be able to buy a property. He will also open for you a bank account on a Greek Bank.
