The house, formerly a historical wine canava, has been transformed by careful renovations into a home with family comfort, fine modern finishes and traditional Cycladic island style.

A little wooden gate opens from the footpath into the private enclosed courtyard, surrounded by plaster walls of soothing earth tones with original volcanic stone arches.

There are several outdoor areas to enjoy here, surrounded by views of the surrounding village or the distant sea.

An arbor with lush climbing vines heavy with fresh grapes provides shade from the bright sunlight.  The dining area offers a charming place for enjoying meals al fresco in the twilight or under the stars.

Stretch out on a chaise and watch the many brilliant colors of Santorini’s famous sunset unfurl over the sea, as day turns to night, and the twinkling of village lights in the distance come into view.

Hand-pigmented polished cement in a palette of soft neutrals graces the curving walls of the bathroom’s built-in shower and furnishings: a technique and detail unique to Santorini’s cave homes.

Each built-in kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, countertop convenience appliances, cookware, china and cutlery.

Altogether, Cellars can accommodate up to a total of eleven guests in the three suites combined.  Suite one is great for a family of up to five guests, with three connected rooms containing a single day-bed and two double beds.  The bedrooms are connected by archway openings (not doors). You reach the bathroom through the second double bedroom. Suite two is similar: It can accommodate up to four guests in two connected rooms containing two single day beds and one double bed. You reach the bathroom via the double bedroom. Suite three can accommodate two guests in a double bed.
